A year in review
The end of the year is here, and it has been a wild one for Inverted Gear, so I thought we could look back at some of the highlights of 2017. We continued to grow and broke our sales record for the fifth year in a row. We sponsored tournaments all over the world, our sponsored team competed at every major IBJJF tournament, we branched out and sponsored the US combat wrestling team, and we continued our partnerships with Tap Cancer Out, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Globetrotters, Show the Art, and Rdojo.
After visiting our friends in Guam in 2016, we were excited to work with them and sponsor the Marianas open, one of the most underrated tournaments out there. Once a year, they bring some of the best talent on the planet to this small island in the Pacific. If you want to learn more check out this video:
We also continued to work with Polaris, our favorite professional jiu-jitsu organization, and this year's show did not disappoint. They make some of the most interesting matchmaking, bringing talent from the US, Brazil, Europe, and Japan. It also gave us a chance to air a commercial. This year we chose to show give more insight into our collaboration with Tap Cancer Out.
Check out the documentary we shot here:
Which brings us to our collaboration projects, here are some of my favorites that released this year:
We worked with Tap Cancer Out, Globetrotters, and tried a new concept for "Buy A Gi, Give A Gi" for the Workshop School. Not to mention we started making academy gis!
We have shared over 100 articles on our blog and over 100 videos on our youtube page.
